Missionaries Reach Unreached Tribe After 40 Years of Prayer
A remote tribe in Southeast Asia hears the Gospel for the first time — and responds with open hearts
After 40 years of prayer by a small missions organization, a remote tribe in Southeast Asia has heard the Gospel for the first time — and the response has been extraordinary.
The tribe, which had been considered inaccessible due to its remote location and historical hostility toward outsiders, opened its doors to a small team of missionaries who had spent years learning the local language and building trust with neighboring communities.
"We walked in not knowing what to expect," said one of the missionaries. "Within an hour, the chief was asking us to tell him more about this Jesus."
"Persistence in prayer and missions pays off. God's timing is perfect, and no people group is beyond His reach. Forty years of prayer produced a breakthrough that changed an entire village."

"This is what 40 years of prayer looks like," said the missions director. "Never give up. God hears every prayer."

Biblical Perspective
Jesus said He has other sheep that are not of this fold — He must bring them also (John 10:16). God's heart burns for the unreached. Every tribe, tongue, and nation will one day worship before His throne.
"After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne."
— Revelation 7:9 (NIV)
